Turkish Visa Fee for Pakistani Citizens Changed
The Turkish visa fee for Pakistani citizens is one of the elements of the visa application process that was changed during the implementation of recent changes by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before the implementation of these laws, travelers from Pakistan could enter the country without a visa and apply for it at the airport. With the changes however, any visitor needs to be in possession of a valid visa before they are allowed into the country. The electronic visa is the easiest visa to apply for, with minimum documents required and a quick processing time. The cost of acquiring an e visa is low as well. It is however meant for commercial and touristic travels only. For jobs or residence, the applicant needs to apply for alternative visas.
Requirements for Turkish Visa
The documents required for visa processing vary depending on the type of visa being applied for. For an e visa, the applicant needs to be a holder of valid travel documents such as a passport. The passport needs to be valid for not less than 60 days after the duration of stay as applied for. You may also be required to provide documents such as the travel insurance, character certificate from the Pakistani police, bank statements, flight reservation, accommodation reservation and financial certificates. For Pakistani Citizens, the e visa is valid for multiple entries into the country as long as the stay doesn’t outlast 180 days. An e visa is typically valid for 180 days from the day it is issued.
A visit visa is another type of visa that you can apply for if you intend to stay longer than can be covered by the electronic visa. For the visit visa, you will need to provide a copy of your passport, attaching the first 2 pages plus every other used page. Applicants also need to attach 2 recent passport size photographs taken on a white background. Other documents to attach to the application are the supporting documents of the applicant’s finances, hotel reservations, national tax number, travel medical insurance and a polio vaccination from a recognized government institution. A health fitness card should be provided as well.
